The 2010 AHA Guidleines for CPR and ECC are based on an international evidence evaluation process that involved hundeds of international rescuscitation scientists and experts who evaluated, discussed, and debated thousands of peer-viewed publications.  The AHA 2010 Guidelines is a result of the finalization of the extensive review of rescusciation literature and many debates and discussions by international rescuscitation experts and memebers of the AHA ECC Commitee and Subcommittees.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the first peer-reviewed medical publication documenting survival after closed chest compression for cardiac arrest.
